Dog injured after uMhlanga break-in

The suspects managed to break into the outbuilding of the Ridge Road home.

AN uMhlanga family’s dog was injured after cutting its nose on broken glass in a house break-in on Sunday evening. According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, the incident occurred on Ridge Road.

There have been more than 10 break-ins since October in the north Durban precinct.

“Reports from the scene indicate that an unknown number of suspects forced entry into an outbuilding, ransacking it, stealing various items. The suspects then broke a window to the main house, however were deterred by the home security system and fled the scene in an unknown direction. The family dog sustained an injury to its nose from the broken glass in the ordeal, however the injury is believed to be minor,” he said.

Van Reenen said they wished the pooch a speedy recovery.
