Parkhill businessman killed in botched robbery

The 50-year-old suffered two fatal gunshot wounds and was declared deceased at his business premises on Everest Road.

GREENWOOD Park police as well as Marshall Security and Blue Security are searching for three suspects involved in the shooting of a Parkhill businessman on Friday evening. According to Kyle van Reenen, of Crisis Medical, the victim was shot twice and fatally wounded at his business premises on Everest Road just after 5pm.

“The 50-year-old sustained fatal gunshot wounds to the head and back and was declared deceased on scene. Security personnel and Greenwood Park police are still searching for the suspects. It’s unclear if the three armed men fled on foot or in a getaway vehicle at this point. Nothing was taken in the incident and it is being viewed as a botched robbery at this early stage,” he said.
