Greenwood Park CPF calls on residents to attend AGM
The CPF welcomes all residents, current members, and anyone passionate about building a safer Greenwood Park. Residents interested in joining the CPF or nominating executive committee members are encouraged to attend.
THE Greenwood Park Community Policing Forum (CPF) has issued an open invitation to all residents to attend its AGM on Wednesday, November 5, at 18:00 at the Greenwood Park Community Hall.
The AGM is one of the most important events on the CPF calendar, serving as a platform for accountability, community engagement, and strategic planning for the year ahead.

Residents will have the opportunity to review the CPF’s achievements and challenges over the past year, provide input on safety priorities, and participate in the election of the new executive committee.
CPF Chairperson Wayne Govender emphasised the importance of public participation.
“This AGM is not just a meeting but an opportunity for residents to actively shape the future of safety in our community. We want people to come forward, share their views, hold us accountable, and help determine the priorities that matter most to Greenwood Park.”
Strengthening partnerships
Over the past year, the Greenwood Park CPF has strengthened its partnership with the SAPS, Metro Police, and other key stakeholders to improve safety and visibility across the area.
Among its key achievements were the upgrade of the Greenwood Park Police Station SAPS, joint operations with SAPS and Metro Police which led to noticeable improvements in certain neighborhoods, and regular meetings with law enforcement, councillors, and the Department of Community Safety and Liaison which helped strengthen collaboration on community challenges.
The CPF hosted a successful Crime Awareness Day on August 23, encouraging residents to take an active role in crime prevention.
Govender said the CPF’s progress shows what can be achieved through partnership and accountability.
“When the community, SAPS, and local stakeholders work together, we can make real, visible change. But we can only continue this momentum if residents stay involved. Your voice matters and this AGM is your chance to make it heard.”
