Crawford International La Lucia celebrates 100% pass rate for matric Class of 2024

The college achieved a 100% pass rate.

GRADUATES of Crawford International La Lucia took centre stage on Monday (January 13) afternoon as the matric Class of 2024 received their academic results.

The College Hall was abuzz with excitement as they gathered for their exclusive matric results ceremony. Seeing their results in print caused some emotions to run high.

Cal Warwick, the college principal, took to the podium, sharing impressive statistics that underscored the remarkable achievements of the 2024 matric body.

“The Class of 2024 showcased unparalleled academic excellence, achieving a perfect 100% overall pass rate. With an impressive 99% bachelors degree pass rate and a rarefied 1% diploma pass rate, the 91 graduates averaged 3.25 distinctions each, underscoring their collective commitment to excellence. Crawford International La Lucia’s rigorous academic standards are evident in these stellar statistics, testifying to the exceptional achievements of the Class of 2024,” he said.

Thrilled over their matric results are Kivashan Archary (one distinction), Liam Reddy (eight distinctions) and Suheer Sathyapal (9 distinctions).
Kavindra Naidu obtained six distinctions and Sunar Bugwandin raked in five.
Jason Warren and Shannen Cox are excited to have completed matric.

The number 1 top achiever at the college was Diya Ambaram with 8 IEB Distinctions, who achieved within the top 5% of learners nationally in six or more subjects (and scored 80% or more in Life Orientation). She also placed in the top 1 % nationally in the following subjects: English, Afrikaans, accounting, life sciences, life orientation, mathematics and physical sciences. Her overall IEB average was an outstanding 95.38%

A highlight of the event was the unveiling of the Top 10 achievers for Crawford International La Lucia. The atmosphere was exhilarating as parents and matriculants cheered, turning the occasion into a festive celebration of success.
