Man killed in drive-by shooting in La Lucia
The victim, a man in his 30s, was declared deceased on scene by paramedics.
A MAN in his 30s has been gunned down in his vehicle on Shelbourne Avenue in the La Lucia area on Wednesday evening (January 22).
The incident occurred just after 19:30, confirmed ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson.
Several security services as well as the Durban North SAPS responded to the scene which had been cordoned off.

“ALS Paramedics responded to reports of a shooting incident in the La Lucia area. Paramedics found a bakkie in the roadway with several bullet holes to the front of the vehicle. Paramedics also found the driver, a man in his 30s, had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body. Unfortunately there was nothing paramedics could do for him and he was declared deceased on scene,” he said.
The victim is believed to be the only occupant of the vehicle.
The circumstances leading to the shooting are unknown at this stage.
