Reddam House Umhlanga claim silvers at tournament

Both the U19 boys' and U19 girls' divisions triumphed at the tournaments.

REDDAM House Umhlanga returned from the recent Inter-Reddam Football Tournament with an impressive double silver, finishing second in both the U19 boys’ and U19 girls’ divisions, and earning two of the tournament’s most coveted individual awards.

Hosted at Reddam House Ballito, the tournament featured teams from across the Inspired Education Group’s South African schools, including Reddam House Umhlanga, Reddam House Atlantic Seaboard, Reddam House Ballito, Reddam House Bedfordview, Reddam House Helderfontein and Reddam House Waterfall.

The girls’ team fell just short of gold, finishing behind Atlantic Seaboard, while the boys’ side lost in a dramatic final, also decided by Atlantic Seaboard’s last-minute equaliser and penalty shoot-out.

Despite the narrow defeats, individual brilliance stood out. Valentina Jooste claimed the girls’ golden boot, and

Lwandle Ndlovu took home the boys’ golden boot, each recognised as the top scorers in their respective divisions.

“These results speak volumes about the talent and determination of our students,” said Chad Moses, executive head of Reddam House Umhlanga. “To finish second in both categories and win two major awards is a fantastic achievement,” he said.
