Umhlanga attorney guest speaker at business event
Organisers said the event aims to bring together like-minded women to connect, collaborate, and rethink the role of business in society.
BUSINESSWOMEN across KZN are set to gather for a thought-provoking networking event next month when KZN Women in Business hosts a breakfast session focused on purpose-driven entrepreneurship.
The event, scheduled for Thursday, May 7, at the Hellenic Community Centre in Umgeni Park, will feature guest speaker Lea Wimble, a legal professional and social impact advocate, who will present a talk titled “Building Purpose Beyond Profit”.

In her address, Wimble is expected to challenge traditional measures of business success, encouraging attendees to consider how enterprises can serve as vehicles for broader social good.
Her talk will explore how purpose-led businesses can outperform competitors, foster stronger relationships, and create lasting impact beyond financial gain.
Wimble, owner and conveyancer at Wimble Attorneys, is also the founder of The Gifted Project, an initiative dedicated to donating homes to those in need. Her work reflects a belief that the legal profession can play a meaningful role in uplifting communities.
A mother of five, she is known for integrating her professional work with a strong commitment to social change.
Wimble’s NPO recently gifted a home to a single mom with a special needs child. In her interview with Northglen News, Wimble said the greatest reward is seeing someone feel seen, valued, and loved.
“We want to build something that is bigger than just ourselves,” she said. “We want to be part of building something that will outlast us.”
The networking breakfast will begin at 08:00, with the formal programme running from 08:30 to 10:30. Attendees will receive breakfast, a gift, and access to networking opportunities as part of the event package.
Tickets are priced at R290 for members and R395 for non-members. Bookings can be made online via the www.kznwib.co.za.
