“This is a special year for us as the SPCA is celebrating 130 years of service and caring for animals. The funds raised at this event will go towards the rising cost of fuel to keep our hardworking inspectors on the road as well as to keep up with the cost of food for the animals in our care,” she said.

“The event was a very successful one. It’s always great to be out in the community with supporters. For us it is more than just a fundraising event, it provides great networking for us, the players and the sponsors. We even had a waiting list of players for this year so it’s definitely a favourite,” she said.

Fleischer encouraged residents to stop by and say hi at their booth at the House + Garden Show which started this weekend.
