National squad member and Northwood School learner, Andrew Flynn, continued his good form and finished third in the Junior Olympic section and added a surprise gold medal on Pommel to his bounty of five medals at the champs.

He has been included to compete with team SA in the Czech Republic in November and will then jet to Japan to train with the Japanese national team in January.

“I was really pleased with my performances considering I came back from a fractured back,” explained Flynn. “Achieving my best at every competition I compete in is my motivation. I’m always striving to improve my performance. I’m super excited to be representing South Africa and going to the Czech Republic. For me it’s a great opportunity to display my skills on an international level and I hope I can bring home a medal,” he said.
