Bringing back classic rock
THE Barnyard Theatre at Gateway is bringing local audiences a real rock treat with three shows only of Classic Rock of the 70s and 80s, on Sunday 15 and 29 September and 6 October.
Following on from the success of Classic Rock, experience Classic Rock of the 70s and 80s with a new cast and some classics from the Masters of Rock.
Iconic rock bands on the list include Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Journey, Nirvana, U2, AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, Alice Cooper, The Cult, Heart, Van Halen, Twisted Sister and Judas Priest.
Audiences can expect to hear rock anthems of the era such as Rebel Yell, Poison, She Sells Sanctuary, Barracuda, Start Me Up, Voodoo Child, Don’t Stop Believing, Smoke On The Water and Radar Love.
Presenting these classic rock numbers are Jason Guile and Ross Tapson on guitar and vocals, along with Ray Oberholzer and Elizca Coetzer on vocals, James Dobson (keyboards and vocals), Rikki Pillay (bass guitar) and Brian Fraser (drums).
