Rotary support book project

An international Rotary experience was added to this project, as an ex-Dundee resident, Beulah Arends, joined in to help sort the books and magazines.

Rotary Dundee held a Book and Magazine Project on February 14 at Etangeni School.
Rotary members would like to express their thanks to Dundee Book Exchange for the large number of books and magazines that were donated and collected.
Special thanks also goes to Ethangeni School for the use of their facilities, and to the general public for bringing and donating so many books and magazines to this worthy cause.
Fifteen schools sent educators to select and collect books for their individual schools. There were very few items left at the end of the day.
An international Rotary experience was added to this project, as an ex-Dundee resident, Beulah Arends, joined in to help sort the books and magazines. Beulah is a Rotarian now living in the USA.
Pat Unwin, a Rotarian from the UK, who last year spent four weeks at Livangeli School working as part of a Rotary-funded project, also lent a helping hand. She has returned to spend more time at the school and to monitor progress made.
Well done and thanks to all who were involved in making the day a huge ‘success story’!
