Still a bit of va-va-voom in Dundee

The evening also included a celebration of Zulu culture with the group Africa Ignite, which regaled the guests with traditional tale

Some of the faces may have changed, but Ze French Affaire at Chez Nous continues to intrigue those who abide by it.
Every year Elisabeth Durham, hostess at Ches Nouz Bed & Breakfast, hosts what has become known as the French Evening.

The event is a celebration of the French presence in KwaZulu-Natal in general, and more particularly the brief military service and untimely demise of the Prince Imperial, Louis Napoleon, who met his death at the hands of Zulu warriors in a donga on the banks of the Itjotyozi River near Nondweni 135 years ago.

The evening also included a celebration of Zulu culture with the group Africa Ignite, which regaled the guests with traditional tales.
The guest of honour was the French Ambassador in South Africa, Madame Barbierre. Guests included Dons and Eurika Grobler, the managers of the Blood River Heritage Site, local tourguide Mike Nel and his family, Waldo and Jenny Thöle and Councillor Zulu, the Umzinyathi District Municipality representative.
