Goosebumps galore with our Halloween movie list
Halloween is creeping up, a day synonymous with eerie happenings.

Halloween beckons.
Get in the spirit, grab some popcorn. Maybe call a friend, or two, or none and get your scare on with a classic diabolical movie.
Halloween:
No horror movie list would be complete without this gory slasher. It focuses on a man who is institutionalised for the murder of his older sister on Halloween and then escapes a few years later to continue his brutal killing spree; on Halloween.
Friday the 13th:
One of the most popular thrillers ever, with the legendary Jason Vorhees donning on his iconic hockey mask targeting unsuspecting teens with a machete.
Nightmare on Elm Street:
Freddy Kruger is a man nightmares are made of. Despite its age, this movie series still delivers the goosebump factor. We all know how bad haunting dreams can be.
Psycho:
This movie revolves around the creepy hotel owner, Norman Bates, who has a rather dysfunctional relationship with his mother. After all, “we all go a little mad sometimes.”
Poltergeist
Steven Spielberg pulls out the creep factor in this one. The name pretty much says it all.
The Exorcist:
Possibly one of the best horror movies of all time. Possessed by a demonic entity, a young girl’s world is turned upside down after the havoc unleashed by the forces of evil.
Bram Stoker’s Dracula:
Expect no glitter. This movie is set to send chills down your spine; as ultimate vampires rightly should.
Scream
This one is quite educational; be on the lookout for guidelines on how to survive a horror movie. Hint: it appears during one of the dialogues.
The Grudge:
A remake of the Japanese film, Ju-on. With Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Sarah Michelle Gellar this one will have you clinging to the edge of your seat.
The Omen:
A diplomat’s son dies at birth. At the suggestion of the hospice’s priest, the father swops an orphan for his deceased baby. Instead of getting a loving child, he finds that the child is in fact the Anti-Christ.
Try not to sleep with the lights on, but if you should hear a bump in the dark, who are you going to call?
