Mayor offers help to local business

The visit was in the form of a business retention and expansion programme

Emnambithi/Ladysmith Municipality recently visited one of the expanding companies in Ladysmith, Jay’s Steel.

The visit was in the form of a business retention and expansion programme.  Mayor Vincent Madlala and portfolio chairperson Cllr Thulani Makhaza were accompanied by officials from Emnambithi/Ladysmith Municipality’s different departments, who were there to listen to the company’s concerns and address issues where possible.

The owners of Jay’s Steel told of the various challenges they experienced in their expansion programme and how they would like the municipality to further assist.

In assuring support to the business, Mayor Madlala told the owners that the municipality would help in every way possible. He also pointed out that the municipality values and appreciates the business and the job creation that takes place.

Jay’s Steel management pointed out that their expansion has seen them employing 15 former FET students, who now work in the business.

Emnambithi/Ladysmith Municipality would like to wish Jay’s Steel everything of the best in the future.
