Huge potholes in Marula Drive
This situation has evidently been ongoing for months and nothing has been done about it.

If you find yourself driving along Marula Drive in Smartiesville for the first time, you will be shocked at the giant potholes in the road.
Huge craters are dotted along the length of the road, forcing motorists to swerve out of the way to avoid damaging their vehicles or getting stuck.
This situation has evidently been ongoing for months and nothing has been done about it.
It is especially difficult for motorists at night, as you can’t see the potholes until you’re right on top of them. Residents have complained to the municipality about the state of the road, but to no avail.
They say the terrible road surface causes problems in the mornings when parents take their children to school or drive to work.
In addition, water collects in the holes when it rains, causing an awful mess.
Not only that, but the stagnant water causes a build-up of algae and bacteria.
This is not only an unpleasant sight, but the slimy-green water is filled with insects, which poses a health hazard.
“We are now fed up and fear that somebody is going to have a bad accident or get sick because of all the disgusting insects swarming around all the time,” said a concerned resident.
And it’s not only this street that’s a problem; the Times of Ladysmith has received many complaints regarding potholes in other streets in and around town.
At the time of going to press, the municipality had not commented on the matter.
