The height of grass and grass verges has become a growing concern among Colita residents ever since the new year.
The overgrown grass along a short cut in Jennings Road is seen as a danger, as it is situated between a residential area (Colita) and used by residents daily. This means that the short cut is used by the working class and scholars, as well as residents who leave their homes during the early hours of the morning to secure a spot at the Forderville Clinic to receive medical attention.

The residents living closer to the short cut say they will not rest knowing the grass and grass verges aren’t cut.
An elderly resident pleaded that the grass be cut soon before something horrific happens.

“Many of us are either at home, or work and constantly worry if our children are safe passing a short cut with over grown grass verges covering the path,” is the general consensus.

“I am tired of living like a prisoner, keeping my doors locked; afraid that someone hiding in the overgrown grass verges may forcefully enter my home. I hope to see action taken and soon,” said one other concerned resident.
