No water in Smartiesville area
uThukela say there is a burst pipe in the area and workers are at the scene carrying out repairs
The Smartiesville area has been without water since last night (Thursday).
There was no water pressure in the taps, with only droplets coming out.
Cllr Warasally was contacted by residents and he phoned uThukela to place a complaint. This morning (Friday), the taps were still dry and Cllr Warasally again contacted uThukela to find out why the problem had not been fixed.
Many complaints came in this morning, as residents needed water to cook and bathe at the start of the day.
