Municipality ups its game
“The centre will assist us in addressing water related issues, and will also create yet another platform for our communities to communicate with the municipality,” she said.

Amajuba District Municipality launched the opening of the Customer Care Contact Centre last Friday.
Situated at the district municipality’s office in Madadeni, the purpose of the centre was to address water and billing related queries and emergencies.
The establishment of the centre to address residents’ concerns became necessary after Newcastle Municipality took over uThukela Water’s duties of providing water services to the community in 2013.
Customer Care Contact Centre will operate 24 hours, seven days a week.
It was officially launched by Amajuba District Mayor, Jabu Khumalo, who was excited about the role the centre would play within the community.
“The centre will assist us in addressing water related issues, and will also create yet another platform for our communities to communicate with the municipality,” she said.
The centre can be contacted on 086 026 2582, SMS Line 32981, or via email on contact@majuba.gov.za.
