From water leaks to potholes

A water leak in Eekhoring Place, Amajuba Park, negatively affected the road surface.

Water started gushing through a hole in the tarmac during Easter weekend, leaving residents concerned.

One resident, Hansie Liebenberg, feared a sinkhole could form and that residents were driving over a potential time bomb.

While the leak has since been fixed, it caused a pothole that may be detrimental to motorists.

Mayor, Afzul Rehman said the relevant departments were notified of the situation and matter would be dealt with.
