Dannhauser health gets a shot in the arm
The Community Healthcare Centre will serve the 103 000 Dannhauser residents, most of who do not belong to a medical aid scheme.
Earlier today, the Dannhauser Community Healthcare Centre (CHC) was officially opened.
Acting as a miniature hospital, the opening of the CHC was officiated by KwaZulu-Natal Premier, Senzo Mchunu and MEC for Health, Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo.
The CHC boasts a mortuary, ambulance base and expectant mother lodging.
According to sister newspaper, Northern Natal Courier, an estimated 90 per cent of the 103 000 Dannhauser residents have no medical aid, and the CHC will be a boon to those in need of healthcare.
