The current water shortages being experienced across Newcastle have left many residents fuming.
However, senior municipal sources confirmed the municipality hoped to have water services returned to the people later this afternoon.
Quite possibly when you get home later tonight, the water will be flowing once more.
The water tankers that have been dispatched to Newcastle, are servicing a wide area, with all of the town’s water supply being hindered.
“I’m in Carrington Street, and no truck. I’ve been sitting in front of my window like a donkey since 8am,” said one resident.
Some residents have seen these tankers, however, according to members of the public, the tankers did not stop to address the public’s needs, nor alert the public that they were in the area.
According to these residents, the trucks have been driving through residential areas, without informing occupants of their presence.
“They don’t hoot, they just past the house and now they are gone,” lambasted an Arbor Park resident.
However, residents of Paradise explained the tanker was stopping in their area and allowing residents to fill various containers.

According to a municipal official, 11 trucks will be sent out to each suburb during the course of the day, however, a full route for the drop of points could not be confirmed.
