Winter Knights to the rescue

Residents are encouraged to spare a thought for others by donating a blanket, warm clothes, non-perishable food or cash

It’s that time of the year again when temperatures plummet and the biting cold starts to gnaw at you. For most people switching on a heater, grabbing an extra blanket or pulling on a jersey is the obvious thing to do but for others, the bleak reality is that they have nothing to keep the cold at bay.

This is why the Round Table hosts their annual Winter Knights project where members collect and distribute donations to less fortunate people. This year the Estcourt Round Table will be hosting their Winter Knights project on Friday, July 3 outside Spar from 4pm.

Residents are encouraged to spare a thought for others by donating a blanket, warm clothes, non-perishable food or cash. The donations are distributed to people in need, from within the area that the goods are donated.

Other drop off points are at Estcourt Farmers Equipment and Mid Natal Automotive Engineering.
