Sowing the seed: Umtshezi Municipality councillors and staff hand over materials and equipment to local Community Garden Projects.

Management and councillors from the Umtshezi Municipality gathered on Friday, July 10 to support local small, medium and micro enterprises (SMME’s) and Co-Operatives.

14 local and surrounding Community Garden Projects from five different wards requested assistance from the municipality for materials and equipment.

Fence, poles, JoJo water tanks, maize seeds, spades, watering cans and cement, amongst others, were handed over according to the need.
The recipients and municipal officials gathered in front of the civic building for the handover.
