Fraudsters target nursing hopefuls

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health issued a statement on July 11, distancing itself from a job scam currently doing the rounds.

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health issued a statement on July 11, distancing itself from a job scam currently doing the rounds.

This follows incidents where nursing scholarships were offered to the public by means of falsified advertisements.

“The department has been inundated with enquiries from the public about the purported advert, which is being circulated via email,” read the statement.

The advert has been dubbed ‘deceiving’ and ‘misleading’. The department condemned the circulation thereof in the strongest possible terms.

“All advertisements by the department are placed in reputable news media, on the Internet and on notice boards.”

Anyone with information regarding the source of the adverts is advised to contact police immediately.
