The French Tricolor was flying high at Battlefields Country Lodge yesterday when two French rugby teams from Provins, south of Paris, took on the under 14 and under 16 teams from Sarel Cilliers High School.
This is part of the new initiative at BCL to launch the Battlefields Sports Resort that will attract international sports teams to Dundee. Three new fields have been built at the resort.
The atmosphere was one of tight competition and good sportsmanship with the Sarel Cilliers under 14s overwhelming their French counterparts 66-5. However, in the second game the French had the upper hand with the Tricolors winning 27-17.
