New TLBs for UThukela

The Mayor said that she was quite sure that the newly purchased TLBs would benefit the community and also enhance service delivery

On 11 August the UThukela District Mayor DCP Mazibuko handed over 7 new TLBs to all five local municipalities. UThukela has taken a resolution of buying its own machinery to save costs of hiring equipment and speed up service delivery.

The UThukela District Municipality is committed to render quality service to its entire area. These were remarks by Her Worship, the Mayor of UThukela District Municipality Cllr DCP Mazibuko during the official handing over keys of seven new TLBs.

The Mayor said that she was quite sure that the newly purchased TLBs would benefit the community and also enhance service delivery. “It is just a symbol to show that we are indeed committed as the municipality, to take services to the people,” said Mayor.

The TLBs will be used in all the five municipalities namely; Emnambithi/ Ladysmith LM, Okhahlamba LM, Umtshezi LM, Imbabazane LM and Indaka LM.

The Mayor then urged the workers to take good care of all working equipment including these new TLBs. “Our employees must take good care of this important machinery to ensure effective service delivery to all our people,” said Mayor Cllr DCP Mazibuko.
