Public Safety officers keep our roads safe
The officers checked motorists’ licences and if vehicles were roadworthy, as well as for any outstanding warrants of arrest

A Gazette journalist caught up with Public Safety officers as they were performing roadblocks in Forbes Street on Wednesday afternoon last week.
The officers checked motorists’ licences and if vehicles were roadworthy, as well as for any outstanding warrants of arrest.
These roadblocks serve as a reminder that motorists should adhere to the rules of the road at all times and practice safe driving behaviour. Roadblocks not only help to catch people out if they have an invalid licence, but also help create awareness and warn others against being on the wrong side of the law.
It is important to note that motorists should be aware of the validity of their licences.
