Dannhauser police are looking for four men, believed to be part of an attempted house robbery at Springboklaagte Farm, on September 21.
According to police reports, a 64-year-old man and his family were asleep in their farm house. At around 12.30am he was woken up by the sound of someone breaking down his house door. He got up and took his knobkierie, and confronted the four suspects who entered his house. Allegedly, one of them had a firearm and demanded money.

The suspect allegedly fired two shots inside the house.
The owner of the house struck one of the suspects with the knobkierie. During the altercation, one of the suspects managed to grab the knobkierie away from the victim and struck him over the head, while the other suspects kicked him.

The suspects fled the scene, leaving behind two cartridges and one live round on the floor.
