Responding to the invitation sent out by the local Salvation Army Church, local churches took to the streets this past Saturday to voice their concerns over the rising human trafficking pandemic in South Africa
Responding to the invitation sent out by the local Salvation Army Church, local churches took to the streets this past Saturday to voice their concerns over the rising human trafficking pandemic in South Africa.
These community members took a memorandum, which contained all their concerns surrounding human trafficking and substance abuse in Vryheid to the police station in Landdrost Street.
“We as a congregation will not remain silent. We are all God’s children and should protect one another,” said the Salvation Army’s Lt Zama Shelembe.
The local police received the memorandum and promised community members that these issues would not be taken lightly.
