A man was shot in his driveway in the Hospital Park area last night. The gunshot victim, who later died in hospital, was an employee at uThukela District Municipality and also a business owner.
The man sustained three gunshot wounds to the chest, shoulder and neck. EMRS paramedics were exiting the Ladysmith Provincial Hospital gates when they saw the injured man and immediately rushed him to hospital. However, it was too late to save his life.
The motive for the shooting is unknown at this stage.
