The KwaZulu-Natal Acting Provincial Commissioner, Major General Bhekinkosi Langa, praised the Ladysmith K9 Unit, as well as Pongola and Ulundi Public Order Policing, for making arrests and recovering illegal firearms in the Ladysmith and Pongola areas.
“The community must play a vital role in giving information to the police about illegal firearms. The same unlicensed firearms are being used by criminals to kill and attack innocent people,” said Major General Langa.
