Angry protesters block Colenso / Weenen road
RTI officers are diverting traffic via Estcourt and police are monitoring the situation
The R74 Colenso / Weenen road has been blocked since Friday, with furious protesters packing rocks, stones and branches in the road to stop traffic from using this route.
They are protesting for better service delivery.
It is believed that the mayor of Umtshezi Municipality did address the community yesterday (October 25), but that the meeting did not go well.

Last night, angry protesters blocked off the Ngodini turn-off. However, farmers intervened and the Ngodini road is now open.
The R74 is still closed.
