Update: Storm wreaks havoc

Many people were injured and houses damaged in the heavy storm that struck in the early hours of this morning (October 29).

Houses in Acaciavale, Roosboom and other areas were affected.

Many roofs flew off as a result of the gale-force winds, and several houses collapsed as well.

In Centenary Road and other streets, light poles were uprooted.
