UPDATE: Robbery eyewitness speaks out

An eyewitness to the armed robbery in Pioneer Park earlier, has spoken out about her harrowing ordeal.

The resident was at the shop when the robbery occurred, and recalled a person dressed in concealing attire entering the store shortly before gunmen made their terrifying entrance.

When the robbers fled the store, this mysterious person fled with them.

“Yeah it was pretty scary. They walked around with guns pointed at our faces and asked if we had any money on us.”

However, she added, the gunmen were more concerned with pressuring the store manager into opening the till and unlocking the safe.

“As they left, they shot twice and one woman was hit.”
