
TAXI CITY – Newcastle Crime Prevention Unit members arrested a 32-year-old man for the possession of Mandrax at the Newcastle Taxi Rank, October 13.

According to police reports, the officers were conducting observation duties, when they noticed the suspect hiding a suspicious parcel in one of the stalls at the rank.
Police found 46 Mandrax tablets to the value of R2 300 in the man’s possession.

He appeared in the Newcastle Magistrate’s Court on October 14.
