Business robbery
Pick n Pay in Pioneer Park was robbed by three suspects of an undisclosed amount of cash on October 31.
The suspects, aged between 37 to 33 were arrested and two vehicles were recovered. Police investigation continues.

A 41-year-old suspect was arrested at Kampen House for dealing in metacathinone. The suspect appeared in court on November 7. Investigations continue.

Possession of marijuana
A 29-year-old suspect was arrested in Kirkland Street for the possession of 5 grams of dagga on November 4. He appeared in court on November 7. Police investigations continue.

Theft out of motor vehicle
The community performed a citizen’s arrest of a 28-year-old suspect after he broke into a vehicle in Newcastle CBD on November 4. Investigations continue.

Murder
A 39-year-old suspect was arrested for murder, after he allegedly shot his victim dead in Voortrekker Street on November 5. Investigations continue.

Robbery
Three suspects aged between 27 to 32 were arrested for robbing a victim of his belongings in Terminus Street at the Taxi Rank on November 5. Investigations continue.

Theft
Copper to the value of R20 000 was stolen by unknown suspects in Ballengeich on November 3. Should anyone have witnessed the incident or has any information that might assist, please contact the Newcastle police.

Possession of suspected stolen property
A 25-year-old suspect was arrested for the possession of suspected stolen property in Barry Hertzog Park on November 1. Scientific calculators to the value of R1500 were found in his possession. Investigation continues.
