Dagga seized in Ngodini

The total weight of the recovered dagga is around 145.9kg, with an estimated street value of R219 000

During an operation carried out by Amangwe Visible Policing members early on Sunday, November 13 information revealed that dagga was being stored at a homestead in Ngodini.

Police conducted a search and discovered three containers and sacks of dagga. The total weight of the recovered dagga is around 145.9kg, with an estimated street value of R219 000.

A 34-year-old male was arrested for possession of dagga and he appeared in the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court on Monday, November 14.

The KwaZulu-Natal Acting Provincial Commissioner Major General Bhekinkosi Langa praised the team for their dedication in getting rid of drugs in our community.

“The recovered drugs were intended to be sold to our youth who abuse them but with the intervention of the police, this was prevented,” he added.
