Ematsheni police, working with the Ladysmith Crime Intelligence Gathering (CIG) Unit, arrested a 28-year-old man on Thursday for possession of two unlicensed firearms.
The man was arrested in the Zwelisha area of Ematsheni after he was found in possession of an unlicensed 9mm pistol and a revolver. Four rounds of ammunition were also recovered.
The suspect will appear in the Bergville Magistrate’s Court today (December 19) on charges of possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
