Amangwe business robbery suspects arrested
A .38 pistol with four rounds of ammunition that was allegedly used during the robbery were confiscated from the suspects

Swift action by police resulted in the arrest of two suspected robbers in the Nyezane area, Loskop. A businessman was shot and wounded and robbed of a small amount of cash on the morning of December 22. The businessman sustained a gunshot wound to the hip before the two suspects fled the scene.
“Amangwe Visible Policing officers that were patrolling in the vicinity received the complaint and responded swiftly.
As a result of their quick response they arrested both the suspects aged 21 and 22,” commented police spokesperson Warrant Officer Basheer Khan.
A .38 pistol with four rounds of ammunition that was allegedly used during the robbery were confiscated from the suspects.Both men appeared in the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court on December 23 where they faced charges of business robbery, possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition. The recovered firearm will be subject to ballistic testing.
