DANNHAUSER – A 55-year-old man was arrested for the murder of a 38-year-old man on Annieville Farm in Dannhauser on January 1.
According to police reports, the victim was on his way home with a friend, when they were approached by the suspect. The victim was allegedly struck several times with an axe on the head. The victim’s friend attempted to intervene, but was also assaulted by the suspect.

An ambulance and the police were dispatched to the scene, and the men were transported to Nellies Farm Clinic for further medical treatment. The 38-year-old victim was later pronounced dead.
The appeared in the Dannhauser Magistrate’s Court on January 4, and will appear again on January 11.
