Police confiscated 40 kilograms of dagga, which was packed in drums and buckets

The recent success by Amangwe police has been applauded by the KwaZulu-Natal Acting Provincial commissioner, Major General Bheki Langa.

This was after members of the Amangwe Visible Policing Section recovered dagga and arrested a 25-year-old suspect on January 20.

Police confiscated 40 kilograms of dagga, which was packed in drums and buckets, from the suspect’s home in the Nkomokazini area in Loskop.

“The total value of the recovered dagga is R60 000. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly,” commented police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Thulani Zwane.

Major General Bheki Langa commented: “We will continue with such operations in an attempt to get rid of drugs in our community. We also appeal to the community to expose drug dealers by reporting them to the police.”
