Major water pipe burst knocks out water supply in central Dundee

Residents in the central and upper parts of Dundee woke up this morning to find their taps running dry.  A huge water mains burst at the Victoria/Tatham Street traffic circle has left large parts of the town without water.

Nomonde Nzimakwe, Communications Manager of Umzinyathi District Municipality said the huge burst would be attended to as soon as possible.

Water was rushing down Victoria Street this morning, turning the gutter into a raging torrent.
