Road safety just outside Ladysmith

The roadblock started at 8am and finished at 11am

Ladysmith Gazette journalists caught up with law enforcement officers on Tuesday morning (January 31) at the RTI base just outside Ladysmith while they were checking driver’s licences, outstanding warrants of arrest and if vehicles were roadworthy.

Police, Public Safety, RTI and Home Affairs officials participated in the roadblock.

The scorching sun was the last thing on the officers’ minds, as they busied themselves with making sure the rules of the road were adhered to.

The roadblock started at 8am and finished at 11am.
