
Dannhauser police arrested a 33-year-old man for attempted theft out of motor vehicle on Tuesday, January 24 in Rutland.
According to police reports, the owner of the vehicle was awakened by his mother, informing him of a suspicious person lurking around their yard.

He noticed the suspect opening the bonnet of the vehicle that was parked outside the house.
The suspect attempted to flee, but the owner gave chase and apprehended the suspect, and summoned for police assistance.
A screwdriver was found near the vehicle which was allegedly used to break into the vehicle.
Police investigations continue.
