Attempted house robbery foiled by alarm

One suspect broke a window to get into the house, but this triggered the alarm

An attempted house robbery was foiled yesterday afternoon (February 9) in Carbineer Road.

It is alleged that one suspect entered the house by breaking a window.

However, this triggered the house alarm and the would-be robber fled the scene.

Nothing was taken from the house.

NN Alarms responded first to the scene, followed by the Ladysmith K9 Unit.

K9 officers searched the house with a search dog to make sure suspects were not hiding in the house.
