SAPS warn of hijackings in isolated areas

A 27-year-old driver and his partner were sitting in his vehicle, when they were approached by two armed men.

The KwaZulu-Natal police are warning motorists of the dangers of parking their vehicles in isolated areas.

Recently, a 27-year-old driver and his partner were sitting in his vehicle, when they were approached by two armed men.

They were threatened at gunpoint and pushed to the back seat of the vehicle, whereupon the perpetrators drove off in the hijacked vehicle with the victims inside.

The traumatised victims were later abandoned in the veld.
