"The driver of the vehicle was driving at a high speed when the accident occurred."

New information from SAPS Communication Liaison and Marketing Officer, Lizzy Arumugam revealed the driver of the vehicle, whose identity can still not be disclosed, was driving at a high speed when the accident occurred, claiming the lives of a mother and daughter.
Operations Manager of TRIVS Medical Service, Jan-Henk van Vuuren said the vehicle had eight occupants. However, Mrs Arumugam stated the vehicle had seven occupants; two females and five males.
“There were two fatalities and the other five occupants sustained serious bodily injuries, and were taken to Madadeni Provincial Hospital,” she said.
