Residents report more disregard for parking rules

Residents have come forward submitting photos and reports of parking violations by traffic officials.

A RECENT article in the Vryheid Herald has sparked an outcry among residents regarding illegal parking practices by those who should know better.

Residents have come forward submitting photos and reports of parking violations by traffic officials, who allegedly pay no mind to the laws surrounding parking etiquette about disabled parking and loading zones.

“On February 6 at 2:30pm, I saw a vehicle with two uniformed officers, one female and one male, parking their vehicle on a clearly marked loading zone right in front of Lizard Lounge in High Street, taking out their lunch and starting to eat,” stated one concerned local, who witnessed “how the traffic officers of Vryheid can do anything they want and get away with it.”

“It is a sad state of affairs having such role models to uphold the law.”
