SARS will be at your service this week

The South African Revenue Service (SARS) mobile unit will be in Estcourt in front of the municipal building on February 23 and 24

If you have any tax-related questions or queries, then this Thursday and Friday may be the time to voice them.

The South African Revenue Service (SARS) mobile unit will be in Estcourt in front of the municipal building on February 23 and 24. The SARS Engagement Team will be available on Thursday from 9am until 3pm and on Friday from 9am until 11am.

To complete your Income Tax Return (ITR12) bring along the following supporting documents:
1. Proof of identity – Identity Document (ID), passport or driver’s licence.
2. Proof of income – all the IRP5/IT3(a) and IT3(b) certificates you have received.
3. Proof of deductions – such as medical aid, travel, pensions and retirement annuity certificates.

To register as a taxpayer bring along the following documents:
1. The original and certified copy of your ID, passport or driver’s licence.
2. Original bank statement with a bank stamp, not older than three months.
3. Proof of residential address e.g. municipal account reflecting your name and address.

To capture or change your banking details, bring along:
1. Original certified copy of your ID or passport.
2. Original proof of residential address e.g. municipal account not older than three months reflecting your name and residential address.
3. Original bank statement with a bank stamp not older than three months.

For tax clearance, bring along the following documents:
1. Original certified copy of your ID or passport.
2. Copy of CK documentation.
