BREAKING NEWS: Man shot in CBD

A man was shot in the arm outside a pub in the CBD earlier this evening (February 25).

The shooting occurred at about 8pm.
First responders from Newcastle 911 said they arrived on scene to find one person wounded.
According to the pub owner, the shooter and victim got into an argument, which culminated in the shooter drawing his gun and firing multiple times.

The victim sustained a bullet wound to his forearm.
Patrons then seized the suspect and disarmed him, at which point emergency services and SAPS arrived.
